Determination of the lifetime extension period
- WEC and site specific load simulation based on the data of the WEC specific parameters: WEC operating history, wind profile, turbulences, special characteristics oft he WEC, etc.
- Comparison of the design loads from the planning phase and the in reality expirienced loads on site during the 20 years lifetime period respectively the reference period.
Advantages of our procedure:
- A higher degree of reliability of the results is given based on the improved modelling of the real conditions and by using recognised methods from the type certifiation procedure.
- Extended verification exceeding tower and foundation and therewith extended economic planning horizon
- knowledge about the point in time of a possibly required change of components respectively if applicable the demolition of the WEC.
